About the opportunity 
The Faculty of Science is one of six faculties operating within the University and includes the Schools of Chemistry, Geosciences, Life and Environmental Sciences, Mathematics and Statistics, Physics, Psychology and the Sydney School of Veterinary Science and the Unit for History and Philosophy of Science. The School of Psychology is one of the Universitys largest academic units consisting of 300 staff. It currently offers coursework and research degrees to approximately 4000 students. The School offers a popular postgraduate coursework program in Coaching Psychology.

The Education Support Officer provides support in the administration of the Schools academic programs, specifically the third-year undergraduate Units of Study and the Coaching Programs. The third-year units have approximately 600 students enrolled each semester and the Coaching Programs approximately 80 students.

In this position, you will:

  • provide a broad range of administrative support to Academic and Teaching staff
  • provide a broad range of educational support to Academic and Teaching staff
  • assist with data collation for School and/or Faculty reporting needs.

  • tertiary qualifications with some relevant work experience; and/or equivalent combination of relevant work experience and training
  • experience working in a tertiary environment with working knowledge of using Learning Management Systems
  • excellent time and workload management skills
  • ability to work in a complex and challenging environment.
