About the opportunity 

The DVC Research (DVCR) Portfolio currently includes six groups that support the DVCR and researchers to achieve the University’s research goals. One of those groups is Research Reporting, Analysis, Data & Systems (RRADS). The RRADS team is responsible for developing and managing data capture and analysis as well as coordinating the development of IT systems to support business requirements.

As part of the Data & Systems team, the main purpose of the position is to provide and devise data manipulation, cleansing and alignment services in the management of information systems data within the Research Portfolio, specifically in connection with the collection and reporting of ERA and HERDC quality data and research performance indicators; Academic Profiles; SIBI data; and Academic Planning & Development (AP&D). A key element to this role is the management and development of SSRS reporting, and associated database and reports development support.

We are looking for a Senior Application and Data Administrator who possesses demonstrated expertise in:

  • collecting, processing and maintaining  electronic records and datasets
  • data manipulation techniques to ensure data consistency  across a wide range of datasets extracted from various sources
  • data collection methodologies
  • enterprise systems and reporting systems

Familiarity with reporting and administrative functions in a university environment would be highly regarded.
