The Academic Services division manages research support services and resources that support academics, researchers, undergraduate and postgraduate students to create and communicate new knowledge.  This division is responsible for the delivery and evaluation of information and research skills development programs and online learning material, as well as the development and consolidation of Rare Books and Special Collections.

As the Academic Liaison Librarian, you will initiate, deliver and promote a range of quality client-centred Library programs. You will use your expertise in information resources and research skills development programs to assist academics, researchers and students to achieve their scholarly goals. An important aspect of your role will be to actively market library services and also customise and develop new research support services. Your practice will be informed by your knowledge of the strategic directions of the library and the broader university.

You will see yourself as a great communicator who wants to actively build relationships with clients. Also key to your success will be your knowledge of teaching and learning principles and emerging trends in information resources, and how to apply these to training and other program and support services.
