What you'll be doing

Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate clinical education programs to support ongoing professional clinical development of nursing and midwifery staff to maintain quality care outcomes for patients and clients.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Current nursing/midwifery registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with post registration qualifications relevant to the clinical area in specialty area with demonstrated experience providing clinical teaching and education to clinicians using adult learning principles and facilitation skills
  • Current Certificate as a Workplace Trainer and Assessor (currently Certificate IV) or willingness to work towards certification.
  • Credentialed in Triage and ALS and as a DETECT and DETECT junior trainer or willingness to obtain.
  • Evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills and knowledge.
  • Demonstrated sound organisational skills and the ability to be resourceful, proactive and flexible to successfully manage competing issues and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, advanced computer skills and use of software programs to develop and deliver education.
  • Eligibility to drive in NSW and preparedness to travel across rural and remote areas.
