The City of Sydney is seeking a highly skilled, dynamic and motivated Business Operations Manager, to join our Major Events and Festivals Team.

The Major Events and Festivals team delivers the City's Cultural Plan through a series of large scale, major public and cultural events including Sydney New Year's Eve, Sydney Lunar Festival, Sydney Christmas, Art & About, and Capital Works launch events.

The purpose of this position is to manage the major events and festival unit business operations in order to successfully plan, manage and deliver the annual calendar of major events produced by the City of Sydney and the business unit.

The Major Events business operations include: strategic business unit planning and development, finance including annual budgeting and ongoing forecast; procurement; legal and governance requirements; commercial and compliance obligations; contract preparation and negotiation; management of staffing resources; and all other administrative systems and processes associated with the business unit and implementation of the major events and festivals portfolio.

Working with the Head of Business Operations you will have demonstrated experience working successfully with cross functional teams, outstanding planning and communications skills, superior business operations and management skills, finance, procurement, legal and contracting and high level administration experience.
