The City of Sydney Library provides a space for our vibrant communities to grow, learn connect and create. The Library operates across nine branches including our two new state of the art libraries - Green Square Library and Darling Exchange, due for completion over the next 12 months. We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer focussed and motivated Library Technician to join the City of Sydney Library team. 

This role involves the provision of high quality customer service and may involve supervising others as a second in charge.  You will be responsible for day to day customer experience including connecting customers with resources, providing an excellent concierge service and contributing to collection maintenance and Library programs.

Applicants must be able to work across all of the nine city branches as the role will be allocated based on Library needs. The current vacancy is at Surry Hills branch and involves weekend work.

The successful candidate will have experience in;

• Providing quality customer service
• Excellent knowledge in the use of PCs/Macs, social media and consumer technology
• Effective communication skills
• Delivery of programs and projects
