The Role

The Head of Learning Development will have a particular responsibility for the co-ordination, oversight and monitoring of extension programs, students with learning disabilities and learning difficulties in literacy and numeracy from P – 12. A key role will be the oversight of the embedding of literacy skills across the curriculum of Senior School.

This role is an important middle management position appointed initially for a 5-year fixed-term. The Head of Learning Development is expected to develop and maintain excellent professional relationships with all stakeholders; staff and parents whilst exemplifying outstanding professionalism.

About You

We are looking for a person who is an experienced educator with demonstrated knowledge, interest and skills in contemporary curriculum issues especially in relation to girls’ education and literacy development. You will be highly experienced in supporting students with addition learning needs with a high commitment to quality teaching via assisting teachers to implement adjustments to programs.

Essential Criteria

The Head of Learning and Development will have the appropriate academic qualifications and hold current Queensland College of Teachers Registration (or eligible for registration).
