opportunity for an enthusiastic graduate to join our Technology Solutions team in the
position of Junior Software Developer. The position is full-time, fixed term to December 2024 and
can be based at the Townsville Bebegu Yumba campus or Cairns Nguma-bada campus. Remuneration is HEWL 5: $68,302 - $77,471 per annum plus up to 17% superannuation.

WHAT YOU CAN ACCOMPLISH IN THE ROLE
Joining a high-performing squad of IT professionals who are focused on teamwork, respect and
innovation, this is a fantastic opportunity to grow and gain diverse experience in software
development and integration as you design, deploy and support technical solutions for the
University. Providing high-quality customer-focused technical support for staff and students,
you’ll develop collaborative and positive relationships with customers and colleagues whilst
ensuring software is functional and meets operational requirements, in accordance with established
policy and procedure. In addition, you’ll develop updates and fixes to technical problems and
testing, examining and analysing written code whilst also contributing to the safeguarding of
system security.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
With a degree in Information Technology and experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant
experience, education and/or training, you demonstrate knowledge and experience in the use of one
or more programming languages such as Golang and C#, with effective skills in technical
analysis, design and documentation. An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal
skills, you are someone who develops highly effective working relationships with ease whilst
dealing with complex matters and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction are achieved.
You work well both independently and as a member of a collaborative, high-performing team.
