We now have an exciting opportunity for a Network Engineer to join our team in the Technology Solutions Directorate on a full time and continuing basis, based at either the Townsville Bebegu Yumba campus or the Cairns Nguma-bada campus.


WHAT YOU CAN ACCOMPLISH IN THE ROLE 

Responsible for the implementation, management and support of JCU’s IP network, including LAN, WAN and WLAN, you will manage complex network projects, contribute to the development of network technology solutions and provide third level support to resolve complex technical issues.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE 

With a degree qualification in Computer Science or related discipline and extensive experience in implementing and managing IP switching, routing, firewalls, Wide Area Networking, data centre networking and wireless technology in large complex enterprise environments, you will have highly developed analytical and problem solving skills with an ability to identify and implement continuous improvements. Advanced project management skills with excellent communication and interpersonal skills will also ensure your success in this role.
