Western Australia and Victoria are both calling for nominations for their state vocational education and training awards.

The Victorian Government will award prize money totalling around $150,000 in 14 categories, including tow new categories – an Industry Collaboration Award that recognises collaboration between a training organisation and an employer or industry body resulting in exemplary skills development;  and the Victorian Employer Award for Apprentice Development to be presented to an employer for innovation and excellence in the development of training programs.

Nominations are called for from students, apprentices and trainees, teachers and trainers, training providers, employers and any business involved in training.

In Western Australia, nominations have been called for from individuals, employers and training organisations for awards totalling more than $100,000 in cash and prizes. This year there is one new category – the Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Training Award.
