The New South Wales Government has announced nominations for the 2013 Premier’s Award for Individual Excellence and Achievement are now open.

Premier Barry O’Farrell is calling on people to nominate teachers, nurses or police officers for the Premier’s Awards for Public Service.

This is an opportunity to recognise notable achievements and contributions of individuals and organisations that deliver public services to NSW businesses and the community," Mr O'Farrell said.

"It's important we honour those individuals who work hard every day to deliver the services people across NSW rely on."

Nominations are open for the following two Premier's Awards:

  • Individual Excellence and Achievement (awarded to public sector employees for exceptional levels of customer service and innovation.
     
  • Excellence Public Service Delivery (awarded to organisations and their employees who are external to the NSW Government and have provided excellent public services on behalf of the Government.
