Monash University has been voted Australia’s best University from which to hire graduates for a second year running.

The New York Times employability survey of global CEOs and recruiters placed Monash 32nd in the world, up from 47th last year, placing Monash at the top of the Oceania region and only Victorian university to place in the list of 100 institutions.

The survey canvassed the views of almost 5000 chief executives, managers and recruiters in 20 countries on their preferred global institutions from which to recruit.

"The University aims to produce graduates who have not only received outstanding education in their field, but are as well-prepared to work in Shanghai as they are in Sydney. This international survey is a powerful measure of how successful we have been in producing educated global citizens," Professor Byrne said.

"The majority of our graduates find full-time employment within months of graduation, many with a higher than average starting salary. Our talented staff and innovative education program, which includes ample opportunities for international exchange, relevant industry-placement and high-level research, all contribute to this outcome.
