The Federal Government has announced it will continue its capital funding program for non-government schools, with Parliamentary Secretary for School Education Jacinta Collins outlining a $134 million Capital Grants Program.

Senator Collins said that the program builds on existing school infrastructure funding under the Building the School Revolution initiative.

"The continuation of the Capital Grants Program builds on the Commonwealth Government’s existing investment in school infrastructure and will support the construction of new schools and upgraded facilities,” Senator Collins said.

"The extension of the Capital Grants Program will assist our more disadvantaged Catholic and independent schools to address growth, particularly in the outer suburbs of the capital cities.

"We know that there is increasing demand for new schooling facilities in high growth areas around the country.”
