The Victorian Government has announced $14.8 in grants to assist not-for-profit organisations to provide extra-curricular education for the state's students.

Over 90 organisations will share in the funding from the next round of the three-year Strategic Partnerships Program grants.

State Education Minister Martin Dixon said the grants would enable schools to provide students with rich and diverse learning experiences they otherwise wouldn't have or couldn't afford, particularly targeting students from low socio-economic circumstances. This includes grants to teacher professional learning associations.

Nineteen of the 92 organisations seclected from a field of 125 in the funding round are receiving a grant for the first time.
